1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Imported URLs: when you import a recipe via URL, we process the content of that webpage to extract recipe data.
• Apple Sign-In: if you sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymized identifier and, optionally, your name and email per Apple's policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and provide core App functionality.
• To process and fulfill subscription purchases.
• To power AI-generated recipe suggestions and cooking guidance.
• To personalize your experience (e.g., surfacing saved recipes).
• To send push notifications related to your activity, recipe updates, and (where permitted) promotional offers.

3. AI Features & Data Processing

SuChef uses third-party AI providers to power recipe suggestions, ingredient parsing, and cooking guidance. Queries you submit to AI features (including recipe content and prompts) may be transmitted to these providers for processing. We do not sell this data, and our agreements with AI providers prohibit them from using your data to train their models beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers: third-party vendors who assist with hosting, analytics, AI processing, and customer support, under confidentiality obligations.
• Apple Inc.: subscription and payment transactions are handled by Apple's App Store.
• Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of SuChef or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

The App may contain links to third-party websites or allow you to import content from external URLs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

11. International Data Transfers

SuChef is based in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
