Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SuChef mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SuChef is a recipe discovery and management application that allows users to:

• Browse, save, and organize recipes
• Import recipes from external URLs
• Receive AI-generated recipe suggestions and cooking guidance
• Subscribe to premium features

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscription & Payments

5.1 SuChef Premium

SuChef offers a premium subscription ("SuChef Premium") with enhanced features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

5.2 Free Trial

If offered, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial period ends.

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

5.4 Cancellation

You may manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of any price changes in advance, and changes will apply to the next billing cycle.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or upload to the App (e.g., saved recipes, notes, images). By submitting content, you grant SuChef a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload or share content that:

• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Contains viruses or malicious code
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

7. Recipe Content & Third-Party Links

7.1 Imported Recipes

SuChef allows you to import recipes from third-party websites via URL. We do not claim ownership of third-party recipe content. Imported content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or legality of third-party recipe content.

7.2 AI-Generated Content

SuChef uses artificial intelligence to provide recipe suggestions, cooking instructions, and other content. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" and may contain inaccuracies. Always use your own judgment, especially regarding food allergies, dietary restrictions, and food safety. SuChef is not responsible for any adverse reactions, injuries, or health issues resulting from following AI-generated recipes or suggestions.

8. Food Safety Disclaimer

SuChef is a recipe management tool and does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding food allergies, intolerances, or dietary needs. You are solely responsible for verifying ingredient safety and proper food handling.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and all related content, is the property of SuChef and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

11. Notifications

SuChef may send push notifications related to your saved links, recipe updates, and promotional offers. You can manage notification preferences through your device settings.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
• SUCHEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
• SUCHEF'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SuChef, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third party's rights

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) will survive.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

18. Apple-Specific Terms (App Store)

• These Terms are between you and SuChef, not Apple Inc.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the App, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
